Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena says he was not happy with his team and the officiating during their DStv Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates.

The Brazilians were forced to share the spoils with Pirates after playing out to a 1-1 draw at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

An 80th-minute penalty by Thapelo Xoki cancelled out Marcelo Allende’s 76th-minute opener as Sundowns played out to their second draw in the league.

The draw sees Sundowns remain at the top of the table with 39 points from 16 games, while Pirates remain in fifth place on the log with 26 points from 17 matches.

Mokwena admits he was left frustrated by his team’s performances as while as the officiating by referee Thando Ndzandzeka.

“I don’t like the game today. It’s not a game of football,” Mokwena told SuperSport TV after the game.

“First time that I don’t like my team, not at all and of course a game of football you need three good teams and I don’t like my team today, I don’t think the referees were good today.

“I never complain about referees but I don’t think they were good today. I think Pirates put up a fight…”

Mokwena was also self-critical, admitting he has look in the mirror when analysing the game.

“It starts with me, when I’m not happy with my team, I look at myself in the mirror,” he added.

“I’ve got to start with myself.”
