Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena believes his side will continue to “improve and improve” as they prepare to take on Kaizer Chiefs in their next DStv Premiership on Wednesday.
The Brazilians got their title defence off to the perfect start after claiming all three points following their 2-1 victory over Sekhukhune United this past weekend.
Sundowns are now preparing to face Amakhosi in a mouth-watering fixture at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
Mokwena says his side will continue to build on their performance as they look to snatch all three points from the Soweto giants.
“In retrospect, my feelings after the game were not as positive as after I watched it, we know we can play better,” Mokwena told his club’s official website.
“We are striving and working every single day to get better, training hard & Doing a lot of analysis with the video work and trying to put in the shift. So we focus on improving the performances.
“And by improving the performances, we try to make sure that we are good enough or strong enough to win every single match, and that’s the focus so I am happy that we started with a few points.”
“The first game of the season is always very, very difficult, as you’ve seen, and you will also see next week with the other teams in the big leagues. So we have to just continue getting better, working harder to improve to improve the performance of the team.”
