Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena says his side cannot expect an easy game against a “very stubborn” Chippa United side when they square off at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilians will come into this fixture looking for their 10th straight win in the DStv Premiership following their 2-0 victory over Richards Bay this past weekend.
Sundowns currently sit at the top of the league standings with a 10 points lead over second placed SuperSport United with 37 points after 15 matches played so far this season.
Mokwena says his side have to be well prepared to take on Chippa, who he believes have an array of talent within their squad as well as a “good mentality” on the pitch.
“We know that we have to work hard to get our bodies ready for the game and we will keep working hard in order to get better with every game,” Mokwena told his club’s official website.
“I watched the Chippa vs Richards Bay game, and it was a tough one. Chippa has got good players, so we don’t expect the game to be easy because we know everyone wants to beat us.
“When I was watching the Chippa game where they drew 3-3 with Richards Bay, I picked up that the players are very stubborn and have a very good mentality. They have talented players, and we will ensure that we regenerate and head to the game well prepared.”
The match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
