Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo says his side are prepared and will bring their A-game when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Glamour Boys come into this fixture looking to bounce back after they fell to a humiliating 4-0 defeat to AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this past weekend.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are on the hunt for their 12th successive victory in the DStv Premiership after they claimed the bragging rights in the Tshwane derby following their 1-0 win over SuperSport United.
Amakhosi currently find themselves sitting in fourth position on the table with 24 points, while Sundowns are at the summit of the table with 43 points after 17 matches.
The 23-year-old revealed that he has been hard at work during training, “scoring goals” but the midfielder is yet to find the back of the net in the 15 appearance he made across all competition this season.
“Personally, I think I started the season slowly, but I’m getting my rhythm and I’m constantly working hard to make sure I improve every day,” Ngcobo told his club’s official website.
“At training I’m starting to score more goals so, I think soon it will come.
“As soccer players we know it’s like that. Sometimes you lose games,” he says philosophically, “But now it’s up to us to stay focused. We know what we want to do and we try to concentrate on the next match and not worry about what has already happened. We can learn from the mistakes and try to rectify them.
“They have been winning more games than us, but I believe you create your own luck through hard work. That is the key to getting to where we want to be and I am confident we will get there.
“Amakhosi supporters, we love you. Thank you for the support and please come in numbers to watch us. We promise we will give you our A-game.”
