Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki was full of praise for his side following their performance against Stellenbosch FC at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Glamour Boys secured their second straight win in the DStv Premiership after they claimed a 2-0 victory over Stellies thanks to goals from Pule Mmodi and Christian Basomboli.
The win sees Amakhosi remain in fifth place on the table with seven points after five games while Stellies moved up to 11th position with six points despite the defeat.
Ntseki showed his gratitude toward his players and his technical team for their work on and off the field to secure back-to-back victories in the league.
“Congratulations to the boys, I think it was very important for them to get this win, now we’ve got six points which was very important,” Ntseki told SuperSport TV after the game.
“I think the confidence comes from the game we won last week and the belief to say ‘We’re courageous, we’re confident, this is one game we have to do well’.
“And I must say I think Brandon did very well, he kept us in the game and I think he deserves to be Man of the Match but all the players that came to represent this brand they did well for the game.
“I always say to the players you can’t make a good team if you don’t help me to be good player, so I think it starts with the individuals, the belief that they have in whatever tactical work we’re working on, it is the players that have to carry it out.
“And I think also that analysis, for it to happen, to work out it’s the players. So we really want to congratulate them, We’ve done our part as the technical team in terms of analysis but the stage was for them today to do well for the team.”
