New Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki says he “fully accepts the huge responsibility” that comes with coaching a team of Amakhosi’s calibre.
After being sacked from his role as the national team head coach, Ntseki landed a role at Chiefs their Head of Technical and Youth Development in May 2021.
His talents working within the development structures did not go unnoticed as he was rewarded with the head coach role of the senior team taking over the helm from Arthur Zwane.
Upon his appointment, Zwane will now return to his role as an assistant coach alongside Dillon Sheppard.
The 53-year-old will now be tasked with helping Amakhosi end their eight-year trophy drought as they look to reclaim their dominance in South African football.
“I fully accept this huge responsibility that the Chairman, our Board of Directors and the Club have bestowed on me with humility and respect,” Ntseki told his club’s official website.
“I thank them for their confidence and belief in me to become the captain of the ship. I look forward to working with everyone involved in the technical team to bring joy to our millions of Amakhosi supporters around the world.”
