Kaizer Chiefs edged SuperSport United 2-1 in their DStv Premiership clash on Sunday evening with veteran forward Bernard Parker netting both goals for the Glamour Boys.

A frantic start to the game saw both side have chances with Sipho Mbule going close for Matsatsantsa before Ronwen Williams was called into action to deny Keagan Dolly.

Things, however, quietened down with both sides settling into the game but Amakhosi eventually grabbed the lead with 45 minutes gone as Parker got on the end of a Dolly through ball before finishing at the front post.

The home side hit back almost instantly as an Mbule free-kick delivery from the right-hand side was glanced into the bottom left corner by Thamsanqa Gabuza.

Amakhosi came out with intent in the second half as Dolly and Parker combined in similar fashion as they had in the first half to see the experienced forward through on goal, he of course made no mistake in slotting his effort in at the far post for his second.

SuperSport tried as they might to get back into the game and threatened from set plays but Chiefs were proving to be resilient and did not allow their opposition back into the game as they held on for a tight 2-1 win.
