Orlando Pirates broke their three game losing streak to secure a 3-1 victory over Golden Arrows, while Chippa United came back to hold Cape Town City to a 1-1 in the DStv Premiership on Saturday.

Stellenbosch FC 0-1 Sekhukhune United

Sekhukhune United extended their winning run in the league to three games following their narrow 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC through a decisive goal from Chibuike Ohizu at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch.

The defeat sees Stellies remain in 13th place with 17 points, while Sekhukhune remains in seventh place with 21 points, despite securing a win.

Chippa United 1-1 Cape Town City FC

Chippa United came from a goal down to hold Cape Town City to a 1-1 draw when Etiosa Ighodaro cancelled out Justice Chabalala’s own goal at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The draw sees Chippa dropping down to 10th place – level on 20 points with the Citizens after 16 matches this season.

Orlando Pirates 3-1 Golden Arrows

Orlando Pirates returned to winning ways after they fought hard to claim a 3-1 victory over Golden Arrows through goals from Monnapule Saleng, Terrence Dzvukamanja and Vincent Pule, while Velemseni Ndwandwe’s 68th minute goal proved to be a consolation at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

The Buccaneers remain in fifth place on the log with 22 points after 16 games, while Arrows are placed in 11th position with 19 points from 16 matches.

Marumo Gallants FC 0-2 Richards Bay

Richards Bay returned to winning ways after they secured a comfortable 2-0 victory through two late goals by Sanele Barns and Tshepo Mabua at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.

The victory saw Richards Bay sees them remain in second place with 29 points, trailing of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by 11 points, while Gallants moved up from the bottom of the table and into 15th place with 14 points from 16 matches.
