Orlando Pirates have officially announced the departure of five players with immediate effect.
The Buccaneers have recently bolstered their squad acquired the services of four players, including Sephelo Baloni, Katlego Otladisa, Melusi Buthelezi and Patrick Maswanganyi.
Pirates have subsequently announced the departure of the following players Ntsako Makhubela, Craig Martin, Nkanyiso Zungu, Kopano Thuntsane, and Ndumiso Mabena.
Makhubela spent last season on loan at Golden Arrows, Zungu spent time on loan at Richard’s Bay while Pondo remained with the club’s reserve team.
Martin was a bit part player at Pirates and only made six appearances while Mabena struggled for game time and only featured once for Pirates during the 2022-23 season.
“Orlando Pirates can confirm the departures of Ntsako Makhubela, Craig Martin, Nkanyiso Zungu, Kopano Thuntsane, and Ndumiso Mabena,” Pirates stated.
“The Club would like to wish them the best in their future endeavours.”
