Orlando Pirates have officially announced the signings of Thalenthe Mbatha and Thabiso Lebitso.

Lebitso joins the Buccaneers from Chippa United after putting pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Speaking on joining Pirates Lebitso said: “Joining Orlando Pirates is a significant milestone in my career, and I’m eager to make a meaningful contribution to the team’s success.”

Meanwhile, Mbatha signed for the Soweto giants after he departed from SuperSport United, having signed an initial six-month loan deal with an option to purchase at the end of the season.

“I’m thrilled to be here and can’t wait to start playing. I see this as a golden opportunity and intend to make the most of it,” Mbatha said on joining Pirates.

Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the acquisition of Thalenthe Mbatha and Thabiso Lebitso.

Thabiso Lebitso, formerly of Chippa United, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal. The 28-year-old shared his enthusiasm about joining the club. “Joining Orlando Pirates is a significant milestone in my career, and I’m eager to make a meaningful contribution to the team’s success,” Lebitso commented.

Thalenthe Mbatha, joining from SuperSport United, has been signed on an initial six-month loan deal with an option to purchase at the end of the season. In other news, the Club can confirm it has also reached a mutual agreement for the departure of Eva Nga. Nga leaves after a stint of one and a half seasons with the team. We extend our heartfelt thanks to him for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavours.
