The Premier Soccer League has announced they will hold a moment of silence for the late AmaZulu striker Bonginkosi Ntuli.
The 32-year-old man was recently hospitalised and found to have an aggressive form of cancer that killed him.
The striker was born in KwaZulu-Natal and has played for Golden Arrows, Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars, and most recently AmaZulu.
In his career, Ntuli has played in 281 games and scored 75 goals while setting up 12 others. He has done this in all competitions.
The PSL released the following statement on the matter, which reads:
“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of AmaZulu Football Club striker, Bonginkosi Ntuli.”
“The League sends heartfelt condolences to the Ntuli family, AmaZulu FC, and the football community at large.
“A moment of silence will be observed in his honour at this week’s DStv Premiership, Motsepe Foundation Championship, and DStv Diski Challenge fixtures.
“May his soul repose peacefully.”
