TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramović admits that they “tried everything they. could” against Mamelodi Sundowns but insists that the Brazilians were well prepared for the encounter in Nelspruit.
The Rockets extended their winless run in the DStv Premiership to five matches after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sundowns at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The defeat leaves Galaxy in 12th place in the league standings – level on 19 points with Golden Arrows in 13th position, while Sundowns opened a 19-point gap at the top of the DStv Premiership standings.
Ramović is full of confidence that his side will bounce back and return to winning ways when they welcome Golden Arrows to the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday evening.
“If you concede early in the game, 1-0 down then it’s not easy, especially against a fantastic team like Sundowns,” Ramovic told SuperSport TV.
“But I also have to give the coaching team from Sundowns a huge credit, how they prepared the team, a lot of structure, fantastic players.
“You know you also need a coach to put the right things and so a huge credit to the coaching team and also for a fair tough game.
“We, I think we also played well. We tried after the 1-0 to try come back and score. We tried everything we could. Of course small details we still have to improve.
“But we’re on a good way, we also scored, it’s the right step in the right direction. I give respect and credit to my team. We will soon win the next game. I have absolutely no doubt and we will still fight for top eight.”
