Iqraam Rayners was the big winner after being awarded Stellenbosch FC’s Footballer of the Year, RAMA Fans Player of the Season and the Golden Boot at the club’s 2023–24 awards ceremony.
Iqraam Rayners won the Stellenbosch FC Footballer of the Year award for the 2023–24 season on a lavish evening held at the town hall.
With 16 goals in 38 domestic games this season, the Bafana Bafana forward also won the RAMA Fans Player of the Season Award and the Golden Boot.
While fellow development graduate Jayden Adams took home the Young Player of the Season medal, Devin Titus completed a fantastic season of his own by winning the Players’ Player of the Season award.
For his efforts both on and off the pitch, Sihle Nduli won Sportsman of the Year, and CEO Rob Benadie gave Ruan Rust, Head of Performance at Stellies, the CEO’s award in appreciation of his work.
The club’s reserve squad players were eligible for three awards on the evening, including the Golden Boot, Sportsman of the Season, and Footballer of the Year, while Stellenbosch FC also commemorated their DStv Diski Challenge champions.
After leading the team in goals during the victorious Diski campaign, Mervin Boji won the former, and vice captain Simthandile Sishi was named Sportsman of the Season.
There remained just the reserve team Footballer of the Year to be named, and Kyle Bailey, who was making his professional debut, won the award for his outstanding midfield play.
