Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is confident that the Buccaneers are going finish well in the DStv Premiership and have a “successful” season.
The Buccaneers claimed their third consecutive victory in the DStv Premiership following their 2-0 win over Richards Bay through goals from Terrence Dzvukamanja and Monnapule Saleng at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
The win sees Pirates move up to second place in the league standings – level on 40 points with third placed SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs in fourth position.
Riveiro says his side are ready and hungry to finish the campaign on a positive note as they look to go all the way in the Nedbank Cup while looking to finish in a high position in the league.
“It is going to be a successful season in the end. We want to finish well, we want to go all the way in the Nedbank [Cup],” Riveiro told the media.
“The team is alive, the team is fresh, is ready, is hungry. Maybe we are not yet there in the end, but what you can be sure about is that we are going to fight.
“Our opponents are going to find tough opponents until the end [of the season]. And if someone wants to beat us, is going to need a good performance.”
