Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro says his side are fully focused on their upcoming DStv Premiership clash against AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Buccaneers will come into this fixture after securing their place in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals following their 2-0 victory over Cape Town City in the opening round.
Meanwhile, Usuthu comes into this match off the back of a narrow 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Knockout Cup.
Riveiro, whose side currently occupies 14th place on the log, is hoping his side can emulate their cup form in the league when they take on AmaZulu.
“Trust me, our intentions are at the same level in the league games and we are now 100% focused on AmaZulu on Tuesday. It doesn’t mean the other tournaments are not important,” Riveiro said.
“It is an opportunity to improve the history of the club. Our focus now is on AmaZulu, Polokwane City and Cape Town Spurs again because we really want to compete in the league as well.”
