Cape Town Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou believes that coach Shaun Bartlett has his “own story” to write as a coach after guiding the Urban Warriors to PSL promotion.

The 50-year-old mentor will remain at the Cape Town-based outfit after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract extension.

Bartlett proved himself this past campaign after he guided the club to a second place finish in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

He was at the helm when Spurs gained their promotion to the DStv Premiership via the playoff in which they secured three wins and one draw in four matches against Maritzburg United and Casric Stars.

Efstathiou has since praised Bartlett after guiding the team to promotion and rewarded him with a new two-year deal with the Urban Warriors.

“Shaun has done an incredible job and we believe he can continue to do so,” Efstathiou told his club’s official website.

“When the drive in a person for success comes within, then it is inevitable that the goal will be reached. Shaun has his own story to write as a coach, we are giving him the platform to do so.”
