Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that the club has parted ways with winger Kgaogelo Sekgota with immediate effect.
The 26-year-old joined the club from Kaizer Chiefs at the start of this season and made 17 appearances across all competitions.
Sekgota has also previously played for the likes of Stumbras, Vitória Setúbal, Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows, and Kaizer Chiefs.
The Limpopo-born winger is now free to look for a new club as a free agent.
Stellies have since released the following statement on the matter, which reads:
“Stellenbosch Football Club can confirm that the Club has parted ways with Kgaogelo Sekgota with immediate effect.”
“Sekgota joined the Club at the start of the current season and made 17 appearances across all competitions, helping the team win the 2023 Carling Knockout trophy in the process.
“We would like to thank him for his service over the last six months and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
