Stellenbosch FC have continued to bolster their squad after announcing the signing of midfielder Darrel Matsheke.
The 24-year-old joined the club as a free transfer after his contract with Kaizer chiefs came to its conclusion at the end of last season.
Matsheke brings experience have previously played for Amakhosi, Uthongathi FC and Moroka Swallows.
In that time he has made 32 appearances playing in the National First Division and DStv Premiership as well as experience playing in the Caf Champions League.
Speaking on his arrival, coach Steve Barker said: “Darrel adds quality and depth to our midfield positions, specifically as a defensive midfielder.
“He is technically sound, plays with a lot of energy and intensity, and has the ability to break down attacks, and once he has done that he has the ability to then progress the ball either through the quality of his passing or by carrying the ball.
“We welcome him to the SFC family and are confident that he will add much value to our squad.”
