Stellenbosch FC has continued to bolster their squad after acquiring the services of Gambia U20 international Salifu Colley.
The 19-year-old joins Stellies after a highly successful campaign with Real de Banjul in which they won the GFA League First Division in Gambia.
The Gambia international also has experience representing his country at the U20 Fifa World Cup and U20 Caf Africa Cup of Nations.
Colley becomes one of six new additions to the squad alongside the likes of Thabo Moloisane, Olivier Touré, Mashweu Mphahlele, Oscarine Masuluke and Genino Palace.
Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker says he is pleased to have brought in Colley and believes he can develop to his full potential under his guidance.
“Salifu is a young and talented footballer who has done exceptionally well in the last year, having excelled at the U20 World Cup and U20 AFCON,” Barker told his club’s official website.
“He’s a very exciting talent and we are very pleased to have brought him on board and for the opportunity to help him develop and reach his full potential.”
