Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that left back Fawaaz Basadien has committed his future to the club after signing a new contract.
The 27-year-old joined the Maroons after parting ways with Moroka Swallows in July 2022.
The former Milano United left back has since gone on to make 47 appearances across all competitions while registering six assists in the process.
Basadien has since expressed his gratitude towards the club for continuing to show their faith in him.
“I owe Stellenbosch FC a great deal of loyalty as the club has added tremendous value to my growth as a footballer,” Basadien said.
“I believe the club is moving in the right direction, both for me as an individual and for the team, so it wasn’t a difficult decision for me to extend my contract in Stellenbosch.
“The new deal offers me the security and comfort to improve and develop my game even more, as well as achieve more success with the team and further my ambitions of playing for Bafana Bafana.”
