Mamelodi Sundowns ran rampant over Royal AM after they extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches following their impressive 5-1 victory at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The win saw Masandawana stretch their lead at the top of the DStv Premiership standings to 20 points as they now turn their attention to their upcoming Caf Champions League Group B clash against Al Hilal Omduman in Sudan on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Thwihili Thwahla remains in seventh place on the table with 29 points as they look to bounce back when they face Marumo Gallants in a DStv Premiership match on 1 April.
Sundowns got off to a slow start while Royal Am showed their intent early on as they went in search of the opening goal.
Thwihili Thwahla produced the first real chance of the game in the 21st minute when Sedwyn George hit the upright after latching on to a cross in the box.
Royal would rue their miss as two minutes later Sundowns took the lead through Cassius Mailula, who was played through on goal by Neo Maema.
