SuperSport United have strengthened their squad after announcing two more signings ahead of the 2023/2024 DStv Premiership.
Matsatsantsa confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi has rejoined the club while also capturing the services of Tanzanian defender Abdurazak Hamza.
The Zimbabwean international completed his move to the club after putting pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Arubi rejoins the club from Marumo Gallants where he spent the past two seasons, making 101 appearances across all competitions and keeping 35 clean sheets in the process.
The 37-year-old shot-stopper brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Lancashire, The Highlanders, Bantu, Dynamos FC, AmaTuks, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Stellenbosch FC, SuperSport United, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Marumo Gallants.
“Coming back home is one of the best decisions I have made in my football career,” Arubi told the club’s media department
“I still believe I have what it takes to compete at the highest level and I’m happy to be back home and looking forward to a great season.”

Meanwhile, Hamza joins the club from Tanzanian side Namungo FC.
The 20-year-old completes his move to United after he signed a one year contract with the club.
“I am very excited to join the club,” Hamza was quoted as saying.
“I feel like this is a huge opportunity for me to prove myself. I am looking forward to work with everyone here and to grow as a professional footballer.”
