SuperSport United have announced the signing of defender Keegan Allan on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old joined the club after he parted ways with Moroka Swallows FC.
This will be his second stint at the club having come through the SuperSport United Soccer Schools before moving to AmaTuks.
Allan has previously played for the University of Pretoria and Moroka Swallows, scored three goals, and registered one assist in 39 appearances across all competitions.
SuperSport released the following statement on capturing the services of Allan, which reads as follows:
SuperSport United FC is pleased to announce the signature of defender Keegan Allan on a free transfer from Moroka Swallows FC.
Keegan is yet another product of the SuperSport United Soccer Schools where he developed his football before leaving to study and play football for Tuks.
He then went on to join Moroka Swallows in the 2022/23 season, and during his one-and-a-half-year stay at the club, he quickly established himself as an ever-present at the heart of their defence, playing over 30 games.
The 23-year-old was called up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the COSAFA Cup tournament in 2023 and helped his side to lift the trophy, having played three matches under his belt and will look to add more caps during his stay at Matsatsantsa.
SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt comments about the club’s new acquisition, “It’s good to have a solid player like Keegan in the mix. He knows the club well and will provide valuable depth for us at a time when our injury list and suspensions were leaving us too thin at the back”.
