Stellenbosch FC have confirmed the signing of former Maritzburg United defender Thabo Moloisane on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old joins the club on a long-term deal after spending last season at Maritzburg United in which he made 27 appearances across all competitions.
Moloisane, who came through the ranks at Mamelodi Sundowns, has previously played for and captained Cape Town All Stars in the National First Division before his move to the Team of Choice.
He also represented South Africa at the Fifa U-20 World Cup as well as the Caf U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2019.
Moloisane, who has made 36 appearances across all competitions for Maritzburg, has now found a new home and will spend the 2023-24 with Stellies.
“Thabo Moloisane is a player with a lot of experience both at PSL and NFD level,” head coach Steve Barker said. “He is a player who has shown his leadership qualities at every club he has played for.
“We also believe that he is an underrated footballer who will flourish and develop into a really top centre-back with us at the club, with the added benefit of his versatility.”
