Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler has praised new signing Sibusiso Ziba, stating he will be a “good addition” to the squad.
The 25-year-old joined the club from JDR Stars FC after putting pen to paper on a four-year contract.
Ziba managed to score one goal in 21 appearances for JDR Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season.
Tinkler admits he has been monitoring Ziba and he believes that the former JDR Stars defender will add value to their defensive department.
“Ziba is a centre back we’ve tracked playing in the NFD (Motsepe Foundation Championship),” Tinkler said.
“He’s a versatile defender and has had a good season at his previous club.
“He is comfortable on the ball, good aggression and good height, so a good addition to the squad in my opinion.”
