Watch as attacking midfielder Junior Mendieta expresses his thought on making the move to Mamelodi Sundowns from Stellenbosch FC.

The Argentine joined Sundowns from Stellenbosch FC after he put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Brazilians.

The 30-year-old left Stellies after three seasons in which he contributed to 30 goals including 15 goals and 15 assists on 79 appearances across all competitions.

Mendieta quickly established himself as a fan-favourite and played a crucial role in helping Stellies achieve a club-record fourth-place finish in the league during the 2021-22 season.

The attacking midfielder is now one of three players to have joined Sundowns during this transfer window behind Lesiba Nku and Lucas Ribeiro Costa.
