Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson has revealed that he could potentially unleash teen sensation Mfundo Vilakazi when they take on Royal AM on Sunday.
Vilakazi was put took South African football by storm after he produced an eye-catching performance for the Carling All-Stars team that beat Carling Knockout champions Stellenbosch FC 2-1 at Peter Mokaba Stadium in January.
The 18-year-old became a fan favourite after for his dribbling ability and his sensational free-kick for the All-Stars team.
Vilakazi formed part of Chiefs’ DStv Diski Challenge side but has since been training with the first team.
The Amakhosi mentor has since revealed that Vilakazi could get much-needed minutes when they take on Royal AM on Sunday.
“Oh yes, Mfundo (Vilakazi) is in the match day squad and let’s hope he can get some minutes tomorrow,” Johnson told his club’s official website.
Kaizer Chiefs are scheduled to face Royal AM in the DStv Premiership when the two sides meet at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday with kick off set for 15:30 pm.
