Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is looking forward to improving and reach new heights during the upcoming 2023-24 Premier Soccer League season.
The 31-year-old had a highly successful debut campaign with the Brazilians after he played a vital role in helping them clinch the DStv Premiership title as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Caf Champions League.
Williams also broke a record along the way after he broke former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs’ 17 clean sheet record that was achieved in the 2009/10 season when he kept 18 clean sheets in the DStv Premiership.
The Bafana Bafana captain is confident he can improve his game in the new season and rectify his mistakes of the previous season.
“There is so much to look forward to improving in the next season, I feel there’s lots of goals that I conceded and I think I could’ve done better,” Williams told his club’s official website.
“My numbers are very high this season, which is very good but it could’ve been much better.
“There’s maybe 3, 4 or 5 goals that I feel maybe we could’ve done better with better communication.”
