Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has bemoaned his side’s missed opportunities against Sekhukhune United and felt like they were not “sharp” enough in the final third after conceding their first defeat in five matches.

The Soweto giants’ five match unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday after they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune courtesy of a fourth goal from Sammy Seabi.

Amakhosi will now look to bounce back and return to winning ways when they travel to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to take on Chippa United in their next DStv Premiership on Thursday evening.

Zwane felt his side were not lethal enough in the final third but insisted that Sekhukhune deserved the win following their performance on the day.

“I think we started off well, it looked like we were going to get a goal before they scored; against the run of play. We conceded and from there, we were chasing the game,” Zwane told the media.

“I still believed we were going to equalise but I don’t think we were sharp enough in the final third. Our box entries today were not better than in the previous games.

“It is one of those games where we chased [but] they defended very well. They did not give us that space behind and in the middle. So congrats to them.”
