Cape Town Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou says their destiny is in their own hands as they prepare for the upcoming PSL promotion play-offs clash against Casric Stars at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday.
The Urban Warriors failed to secure automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership after they finish second in the 2022/23 Motsepe Foundation Championship standings.
Spurs were one win away from clinching the Motsepe Foundation Championship title but they fell at the final hurdle after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
Spurs CEO is confident that his side will make it past the play-offs and secure their promotion to the top-flight.
“We are disappointed. We will pick ourselves up, regroup and move on,” Efstathiou told his club’s official website.
“Our goal is still in our hands. It’s been a season with twists and turns, this is just another one.
“We believe in our team and we know they will fight till the end.”
