Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral reportedly received a threat from a supporter on Tuesday following the Buccaneers’ late draw against Platinum Stars.
The angry supporter appeared to react badly as the Buccaneers conceded a last-gasp equaliser to draw 1-1 at Orlando Stadium. Subsequently, with emotions running high, the supporter stormed Pirates’ dressing room tunnel and hurled abuse at the departing coach, reports KickOff.
The fan is believed to have evaded security personnel by having leapt from the VIP box before quickly escaping through an exit.
‘You fraud coach. You must go,’ the fan is believed to have said.
‘I am coming to sort you out tomorrow,’ he had added before making his getaway.
The incident is the second time in a matter of weeks that Ertugral has found himself amidst an angry confrontation following an outburst from the side’s defender Edwin Gyimah at Cape Town International airport.
That encounter seems to have been put to rest, however, as Gyimah has since returned to feature for Pirates, coming off the bench in their clash against Dikwena.
