TFGSoccerClub takes a look at the top goal-scorers and playmakers for Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of their mouthwatering clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.
Ernst Middendorp’s men have begun their campaign with an impressive start and have managed to claim seven wins out of nine games, while playing out to one draw and one defeat so far this campaign.
Amakhosi have scored a total of 13 goals through seven different players, including Daniel Cardoso, Eric Mathoho, Lebogang Manyama Samir Nurkovic, Kearyn Baccus and Khama Billiat, while conceding six goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Sundowns have only lost one out of 12 games so far this campaign, winning eight games across all competitions, while drawing three in the process.
Pitso Mosimane’s side have been in fine form in front of goal and have scored five goals or more on three occasions against Côte d’Or and AmaZulu, for a total of 34 goals in all competitions while conceding just seven.
Chiefs and Sundowns will now meet for the second time this campaign after Amakhosi claimed bragging rights in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup when they humbled Sundowns 4-2 at the FNB Stadium on 12 October.
