Orlando Pirates forward Justin Shonga came within inches of securing all thee points for his side against Maritzburg United when his shot hit the underside of the ball before bouncing on the line … but was his effort rightly ruled out?
The game ultimately ended in a 0-0 stalemate at the Orlando Stadium, but it was only by a matter of inches.
With the game heading into the final stages, Shonga let fly and thought he had the winner, but it was not given as the referee adjudged that the whole of the ball did not go over the line.
Do you think the goal should have stood?
Goal or No Goal?
Was it the right call by the officials not to award Pirates the goal against Maritzburg?#AbsaPrem #SSDiski pic.twitter.com/obq4TPkI5h
