Defender Lorenzo Gordinho will make his much-anticipated return to Kaizer Chiefs following his loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic, according to agent Mike Makaab.
The 24-year-old reportedly requested to return to Amakhosi in June after spending one and a half years on loan at Celtic.
However, Celtic coach Steve Komphela was keen to keep the defender at the club as he was an integral part of his squad, despite Amkhosi battling to bring him back to the Naturena.
Makaab has since confirmed that Gordinho will end his loan spell at Bloom Celtic on 31 December and return to Chiefs.
‘Correct – he’s going back to Kaizer Chiefs‚’ Makaab told SowetanLive.
Gordinho’s agent also confirmed that the club have not received any offers from Celtic about striking a permanent move to the club.
‘Nothing as yet‚ as far as I understand. So as it stands now he’ll be on his way back to Chiefs‚’ he added.
‘Listen‚ he’s been very happy at Celtic‚ but he certainly does want to go back to Chiefs.’
The Gauteng-born defender has been a regular in Komphela’s Celtic side this campaign and has already 14 appearances in all competitions, including the Absa Premiership and the Telkom Knockout.
