Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed that defender Teenage Hadebe has left Amakhosi to join Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor.
The 23-year-old has since put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Turkish outfit.
The Zimbabwe international has become the latest in a long string of Naturena exits but is the first player to be sold in the current window moving to Turkish Super Lig club Yeni Malatyaspor.
Hadebe has spent the last two seasons at Chiefs after joining the club in 2017 from Zimbabwean club Chicken Inn FC.
The Bulawayo-born defender caught the attention of the Turkish side following his performance at Amakhosi last season where he was one of the standout performers in a poor campaign under coach Ernst Middendorp.
The Glamour Boys released the following statement on Hadebe’s departure, which reads:
Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to an outright sale of Teenage Hadebe to Yeni Malatyaspor.
Malatyaspor is based in Malatya, Turkey. The club plays in Süper Lig.
Hadebe attracted the Turkish with his performances at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations currently taking place in Egypt.
He is set to undergo medicals tomorrow in Turkey.
The Zimbabwean defender is the second Chiefs player to join a Turkish club in a period of a year. Siphiwe Tshabalala joined Buyuksehir Belediye Erzurumspor at the end of 2018.
