The Chilli Boys endured a difficult start as they were down to 10 men with just 24 minutes played when Mkhize Siphesihle was shown his marching orders after a crunching tackle on Thabiso Kutumela.

It was all Downs from then on as Andile Jali snatched the lead in the 44th minute as he fired home a loose ball into the back of the net after the ball deflected off Sandile Mthethwa to find the bottom corner.

Then, late in the second half, Mokoena sealed the victory with a stunning strike from range, which took a small deflection and flew into the top corner.
