Bidvest Wits have announced that club captain Thulani Hlatshwayo has extended his contract, which keeps him at the club until June 2019.

The 27-year-old defender has scored three goals and claimed one assist from 16 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Bidvest Wits CEO Jose Ferreira believes Hlatshwayo will become a club legend after he signed a contract extension with the club.
‘I am delighted that Tyson has committed his immediate future to the club. As club captain,’ Tyson has all the credentials and qualities that all our young players aspire to,’ Ferreira told the Bidvest Wits website.
‘I have no doubt that he will become another legend of South African football.’
The Bafana Bafana captain says he feels honoured to have been handed an extension on his current deal with the club and he will be hoping to repay the club for the faith they showed in him.
‘I’m very proud and happy to have extended my stay with Bidvest Wits. I feel very privileged with the faith they have shown in me and I believe we will grow together from strength to strength,’ Hlatshwayo said.
‘I have grown as a player at this club under coach Gavin Hunt and I am looking forward to a successful future with my club.’
The Students are currently placed third in the Absa Premiership standings with 31 points, having won eight out of 15 matches played so far this season.
Bidvest Wits will next welcome Baroka to the Bidvest Stadium when the two side’s meet in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
