Despite signing 11 new players so far, Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt still feels his squad is ‘thin’ and could need another reinforcement.
The newly assembled Clever Boys got their campaign off to a perfect start as they won their opening three games, beating both Soweto giants in the process.

Their perfect start, however, was ended by SuperSport United as an Evans Rusike strike gave Matsatsantsa all three points at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday evening.
After naming an unchanged lineup in the first three games, Hunt was forced into an alteration after Gift Motupa pulled out on the eve of the game‚ with Haashim Domingo replacing the forward.
‘Well‚ we’re thin. We don’t really have enough [in the squad]‚’ Hunt said after the game.
‘Motupa put his back out last night [Friday]. He phoned me at 11pm and said‚ “I can’t move”‚ and he had to go to hospital. And he was in the starting XI.

‘So that would have given us a bit of movement and power.
‘Domingo is not fit enough yet to play 90 minutes. But he started well‚ with a few good touches.’
The Clever Boys are still without long-term injury concerns Edwin Gyimah‚ Daylon Claasen and Granwald Scott, and Hunt revealed that he feels the squad lacks depth.
‘We need to sign a player maybe. We need to get just one to help us somewhere. We’re short,’ concluded the former SuperSport United coach.
With the transfer window slamming shut at the end of the month, the club will have to act quickly if Hunt is to get his wish and sign one more player.
