Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt bemoaned his side’s lack of composure in the final third, despite claiming a 2-0 victory over Chippa United on Friday evening.
The Clever Boys walked away with maximum points against the Chili Boys to finish the year at the top of the Absa Premiership standings with 30 points, three points clear of Orlando Pirates.
Lehlohonolo Majoro gave his side the lead after 29 minutes, before Thabang Monare put the game to bed with his sublime curling free kick in the second half at Bidvest Stadium.
Hunt insists his side had to score more goals as he believes the Absa Premiership title will be decided on goal difference.
‘We have to do better in the final third of the pitch,’ Hunt told the media.
‘The title race is close this season and could be decided by goal difference – we should have won by five or six goals tonight.’
