Gavin Hunt has lamented his side’s inability to produce the final pass after dropping more points against Polokwane City.
The Clever Boys dominated the opening of their Absa Premiership clash against City and were handed a further advantage when the visitors had Salulani Phiri sent off for a horror tackle on midfielder Thabang Monare‚ with just 21 minutes played at the Bidvest Stadium.

Despite the disadvantage, Polokwane proved difficult to break down and they eventually stole the points as Jabu Maluleke scored a stunning free kick in the 75th-minute in what was their only real chance of the game.
Speaking after the game, Hunt spoke of his disappointment after failing to score for the second consecutive game following last week’s goalless draw against struggling Maritzburg United.
‘The last two games gave us a chance to open up a gap but we could have played for another five games like this and still not scored.
‘There are many new faces in the team. The final ball has got to be better‚ it was dreadful tonight. We couldn’t play the final ball.

‘Both games we should have won by a country mile but we didn’t because our final ball was bad. Final ball‚ that’s all it is,’ added Hunt.
‘We got around the back of them so many times but were let down by the passing. It’s very disappointing to play two teams like that and only get one point out of six.’
Hunt admitted that although his team top the standings, their current struggles are still concerning him.
‘I’m worried when we are top of the league and we should have been six or seven points gone. We’ve lost twice at home now already this season. Of course‚ I’m worried,’ concluded the Wits coach.
