Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt has admitted that his side will no survive if they don’t bolster their squad in the upcoming January transfer window.

Wits have endured a gruelling campaign so far as they have battled in the Caf Confederations Cup which has seen them play a limited number of league matches.

With the games now coming thick and fast as they look to catch up games, while still competing in the continental competition, Hunt has admitted that they need reinforcements particularly up front.

‘We have to and the club knows it we have to (sign new players in January], we can’t survive with just one striker or two, that’s been our problem upfront,” Hunt concedes.

‘(Simon) Murray has been injured out for the season, we don’t have another striker.

I’ve got a kid (Rowan Human) on the bench wasn’t the right game for him [against Golden Arrows]. He’s a top goal scorer from the MDC you know, we need to just beef up all over the show you know we have to, added Hunt.

Hunt though admitted that it can be difficult to get transfers over the line.

‘It’s very difficult because in South Africa people don’t want to do anything, people are scared to do things. I’m not scared and I’m prepared to swap to trade to do things,’ he concluded.
