Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat believes he has not done enough in his career to earn a move to Europe.
The 28-year-old attacker has been in fine form for Amakhosi this campaign since making a move from defending Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns during the summer transfer window.
Billiat, who was recently named Player of the Month for September, does not believe his ready to play in Europe but will continue to improve and better his game to make the switch abroad.
‘Every player wants to play in Europe, and it can only happen when you deserve it. I don’t think I have done enough,’ Billiat told the media.
‘I always want to be better and improve. God’s time is the time. So, if I haven’t been there it means it wasn’t the right time. The time will come.’
The Zimbabwean international went on to praise coach Giovanni Solinas, while saying that he is fortunate enough to work with at the Soweto giants.
‘I am very fortunate to have a coach like him but it’s about the team. I don’t see it as something special [in coach praising him], he is always like that. I am grateful for the love he has for me. I love him too. I love the relationship we have,’ he concluded.
