Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates coach Gordon Igesund says he is ready to coach again in South Africa’s top flight after setting up his football academy.
The four-time league-winning coach has been away from the game since his last stint with Absa Premiership team Highlands Park in 2017.
The 63-year-old used the time to help set up his Cape Town-based academy, but now with the operation running smoothly he is ready to step back into the hotseat with a PSL club.
‘I’ll be back next year, hey, I’ll be coaching again,’ Igesund told KickOff.com.
‘I just gave it a break for my academy, but now my academy is up and running I can go back now.’
Igesund did not say which side he would join but revaled that he doesn’t want to coach in the Glad Africa Championship (NFD).
‘I can never go to NFD, you know that, I’m going to the premier league next year. I have been doing a lot of stuff, hey, in the last 18 months.’
