Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that they have parted ways with midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar after he secured a move to Israeli Premier League outfit Maccabi Petah Tikva.
The 20-year-old joined Stellies from Olisa FC in 2021 and spent two and a half seasons with the Cape Winelands outfit.
The Nigerian midfielder went on to score three goals and registered three assists in 70 appearances across all competitions during his time at Stellies.
Jabaar made history at the club last season when he became the youngest player to reach 50 appearances while also walking away with the Stellies Young Player of the Year in 2022 in recognition of stellar performance for the club.
He has since become the seventh player to leave the club following the departures of Júnior Mendieta, Kganyane Letsoenyo, Molahlehi Khunyedi, Glen Hahn, Reid Bombay and Keegan Pool.
“Stellenbosch Football Club has parted ways with Ibraheem Jabaar to pave the way for him to join Maccabi Petah Tikva ahead of the 2023/24 Israeli Premier League season,” Stellies confirmed on their official website.
