The 31-year-old helped the Buccaneers finish second in the Absa Premiership standings last season while helping the club secure their qualification for the Caf Champions League, despite missing most of the first half of the season through injury.
Jele says he will continue working hard to improve his ability while helping Pirates in their search for silverware this season.
‘I think I still need to put in more and more and work hard. I need to try to learn more because I still have the legs to do more for the team. I just hope I can be injury-free so that I can help the team challenge for trophies,’ Jele told KickOff.com.
‘We want to see how things go at the beginning of the season and try to carry on from last season. The first five or six games will be very crucial for the team and then we will see what happens.’
