Reports suggest that Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic has resigned from his position at the club.
According to a report by Soccer Laduma, the Serbian coach handed in his resignation amid talk that the club could be sold by Max Tshabalala.
Jelusic guided Celtic to an 11th-place finish in his first season in the Absa Premiership. The improvement in the side was evident as the team stayed clear of the relegation battle.
According to the report, Jelusic informed the club of his decision through a letter, in which he explained to them the reasons for his resignation, although those reasons are not known at this point in time.
Fans of Phunya Sele Sele have reacted angrily to talks that the club could move to Kimberley after the potential sale goes through. The news of the coach’s exit could add fuel to the fire burning at Celtic. The fans’ outrage has seen the club respond by calling a meeting between them and the supporters.
