‘On behalf of the Club, I wish Amakhosi supporters and others a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,’ Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung told the club’s website.

‘This is a time for us all to pause and give thanks to the Lord. We should rejoice about the glorious opportunity of living and loving. Let us give one another love and remember that “sharing is caring”.

‘Much has been said about the difficulties that we as individuals, the country and the world faced during the year. Let us learn from the past, but not miss out on the opportunity of looking forward to a brighter tomorrow. This is the time when we should let that which was difficult to pass and pray for a better future.

‘Share love wherever you are. The smile and the gesture of appreciation that you share with that person in the street can only deepen our humanity and offer someone hope.
