Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret admits that he doesn’t know what the future holds following their humiliating 4-1 loss against SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup final.

The Soweto giants endured their worst-ever finish in the PSL era after finishing in 11th place on the Absa Premiership table and Jonevret who targetted the Nedbank Cup as a consolation for their terrible exploits during the club’s 80th anniversary says he will do eveything in his power to reclaim their past glory.

‘I get a lot of energy from the people outside, from the fans, I can see how much it means to them and I’m ready to work 24 hours a day just to make them happy,’ he said after the loss to SuperSport.

‘But there are a few things missing now to make us better.

‘I’m hungry‚ I’ve just started this job and I want to have a full season to work with my team, but we have to wait and see,’ he added.

Though his future seems unclear at this point, the 54-year-old mentor is adamant that his side will make an improved start to the campaign next season.

‘There were a lot of positive things to take in the season. I think there are a lot of discussions at the office for next season, but we have to wait and see what will happen.

‘I’m not involved in all decisions. As you could see‚ we have some problems and that’s not just in the cup final. I’m 100 percent sure Orlando Pirates will start next season better.

‘I have just begun and I hope they (Pirates) can listen to me and the other coaches about what we need for the future to be a better team. I like the experience here‚ I get a lot of energy from the people who I meet and I can see how much the club means to them,’ he concluded.
