Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has praised the clubs MultiChoice Diski side for winning three consecutive matches since the start of 2017.

The Team of Choice reserve team have made an excellent start to the 2017 having already record three wins in a row against the likes of Golden Arrows, log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Baroka.

The club’s chairman has heaped praise on the club’s MDC side after they picked up nine points in three of their previous matches in straight succession.

‘Congratulations to the coach Mahier Davids and his Diski team on opening the year with three wins on the trot,’ Kadodia told the Maritzburg United website.

‘These wins puts us three points behind log leader Mamelodi Sundowns. No doubt this league will have a photo finish.’

Kadodia says the MDC has been of huge benefit from a developmental point of view, to help empower the young players into maturing as professional soccer players with the right mentality.

‘There has been a huge interest from all existing players and coaches. This league empowers young players to acquire a winning mentality,’ He added.

‘With the incentive for the league winners to go on a trip to the Netherlands, we wish all our players in the Diski team all the best.’
