Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole has opened up on being honoured with two awards at the Zambian Football Association’s League Awards in Lusaka, Zambia last weekend.
Kambole was recognised for his contributions at Zesco United after walking away with the Fans’ Footballer of the Year and Most Disciplined Player of the Year awards.
The Zambia striker also scooped three awards at his former club’s end-of-season awards ceremony for his efforts last season with Zesco.
The 25-year-old joined Amakhosi from the Zambian outfit in June after signing a three-year contract with his new club.
‘It feels great and humbling to be recognised,’ Kambole told his club’s official website.
‘My focus now is doing duty for Kaizer Chiefs and achieving a lot more.
‘I will take these awards as a motivation leading to the next game against SuperSport United and the rest of the season.’
Kaizer Chiefs will host SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 6pm.
